Polaris ATV Accident Injury | Legal Help

If you have suffered a Polaris ATV accident injury, you are not alone. Since 2000, there have been over 15 recalls of Polaris ATVs due to defects and safety concerns. As an ATV accident attorney, Clark Mason helps victims of Polaris accidents, as well as other types of ATV accidents, recover damages for their injuries. People who were trying to enjoy ATVs for recreation should not have to endure pain and suffering caused by serious injuries or deaths of loved ones.

Examples of Polaris ATV defects

Since 2000, the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission has issued several notices in conjunction with Polaris ATV recalls:

  • July 2009: several thousand units of 2009 Polaris ATV models have been recalled due to reports of the valve assembly failing in freezing temperatures, causing oil leaks in the exhaust resulting in fire and burn hazards.
  • February 2008: about 95,000 units of Polaris Sportsman and Polaris Scrambler 500 models were recalled due to overheating resulting in fire and burn hazards.
  • May 2007: about 8,800 units recalled from the Polaris Model Year 2006 Hawkeye 2x4 and 4x4 ATVs due to reports of steering posts breaking.

Honda ATV accidents

If you have suffered a Honda ATV injury, Clark Mason may be able to help you. Like various Polaris models, Honda ATVs have a rather long history of ATV recalls. There have been many reasons for safety recalls:

  • July 2008: about 42,000 2007-2008 Honda TRX Rancher ATVs were recalled due to sudden loss of steering control in certain circumstances which resulted in the risk of injury or death.
  • May 2008: about 1,400 year 2008 Honda TRX500 ATVs were recalled due to the possibility of the electric power steering shaft breaking unexpectedly, resulting in the risk of injury or death.
  • January 2008: about 46,000 year 2007 Honda TRX500 ATVs were recalled due to possibility of water freezing in the throttle, causing loss of speed control and risk of injury or death.

These are just a few examples of the risks that product defects pose to ATV riders.
